On September 16, 2023, the UliTECH team participated in a 6-hour race in Klášterec nad Ohří.
The race started at 12:00. In the third lap, our team faced a belt issue, resulting in a loss of approximately 20 laps to the leading team. After about 1.5 hours, we managed to recover from the setback and take the lead in the race. Over the next 4 hours, we gradually increased our lead. Unfortunately, 50 minutes before the end, the front lower arm loosened. Our lead rapidly diminished, and although we quickly repaired the chassis, the gap was reduced from the original 23 laps to just 6. Unfortunately, in the next lap, another problem occurred – the complete rupture of the front belt about 40 minutes before the end. Replacing the front belt is quite demanding and time-consuming. Nevertheless, we succeeded in repairing it and returning to the track in the second position, with a 25-lap gap behind the leading team. At this point, the goal was to finish in the 2nd position, which we achieved.
The overall lap count for our team was 1299 laps.
